| The 'Swing Kids' of Rittersberg Gymnasium are the 'juniors' of the Rittersberg Big Band. These students have been playing their instruments for one or two years only. Their repertoire includes swing and rock pieces such as: 'Down for the Count', 'Woodchopper's Ball', 'Basic Basie, 'C-Jam-Blues', 'Blues for Mr.B.', 'Here's that rainy Day', 'Stand by me', 'Fast Break', 'Blues for Bubba', 'Tuxedo Junction', 'My funny Valentine", 'Hangin' in', 'Rockin' Funky' und 'Rock around the Clock'. The Swing Kids practice every Friday at 1 p.m. in the Music Room of Rittersberg Gymnasium and perform on several occasions throughout the year. Currently the Swing Kids consist of 26 students at the age of 12-15. |
